While I was capturing this shot behind the Ferry Building, a cracked out fellow with a weather worn face approached me and asked what I was doing. I explained to him that I was taking a snapshot of the two pigeons. After I released the shutter, he asked if he could see the capture. I could sense that he was buttering me up for the million dollar question. He said in a raspy, distorted, and unclear voice, “By the way, can I ask a favor?” Right away I respond, “Sorry man. I am tapped out. I have nothing on me”. He rolled his eyes and walked further down the pier where for certain, there is no money (or crack) to be found…
